Welcome to Doha! As your first point of interaction with Qatar, Hamad International Airport offers you a host of convenient and even luxurious facilities, you can make use of as a visitor or resident.
At the Arrivals terminal, visitors can shop for duty free goods, avail of car rental services or make hotel reservations at the dedicated kiosks near the exit. Coach services are offered by hotels to transport passengers between the airport and the hotels. A valid international driver’s license and a credit card are required to rent a car. However, Mowasalat’s Karwa taxicabs are also available outside the airport for those who choose to head out into the city on their own. For those interested in a more luxurious ride, limousine services are available. Additional services available at the Arrivals terminal include two ATMs located at the Bus Pavilion outside the Arrivals hall (Level 0) and two foreign exchange bureaus.
There are 138 check-in counters at Hamad International Airport, 14 of which are private booths for Qatar Airways First Class passengers.
Food & Dining: There is a variety of dining option available at the Airport. These include, Seafood Bar, Farggi, Qatar Cafe, Le Grand Comptoir, Marche, Eat Street, Soprafino, Argo Tea Café and Jamocha Café available at the Departures Terminal.
Shopping: A wide range of goods including chocolates, cigarettes, electronics, fragrances, cosmetics and others are available at Qatar Duty Free. Alcohol can be purchased by outbound passengers. Since regulations prohibit liquor being brought into the country. Exciting year-round product promotions, value for money offers and raffles with prizes such as luxury cars and US$1 million in cash are available via regular prize draws.
Quiet room: If you have hours to spend before your flight, you might want to rest, read or take a quick nap. Walk into one of the quiet rooms, which offer a noise-free ambience in addition to comfortable recliners, for some high-quality relaxation.
Arts Exhibition: HIA has launched a series of public art installations in partnership with Qatar Museums Authority. Some of the prominent artworks that’s hard to miss are the Lamp Bear by Swiss artist Urs Fischer installed right at the centre of the airport, and a series of sculptures of the Oryx, created by Dutch artist Tom Claassen, placed at the Arrivals Hall.
Kids Play Area: Travelling with kids can be challenging. HIA’s activity nodes located in the Passenger Terminal will keep them occupied. Each activity node is equipped with televisions, internet browsing, toys, mini-rides and climbing frames. There are Parents' rooms and Family restrooms located at various points across the passenger terminal as well.
Oryx Lounge: If you are a Qatar Airways Premium passenger, you are eligible for a complimentary access to the Oryx lounge. Economy passengers can also gain access for a nominal fee of QR200. Services available at the lounge include food and beverage, a smoking room, business centre, a quiet zone, internet facility and a gaming room for kids.
Meet & Greet services: Airport procedures can be daunting, especially if you are new to the place. Al Maha services, a personalised meet-and-assist service, is available for passengers arriving, departing or transferring through the airport. There are a variety of packages that can be booked through their website. Once you are a member, you can avail their services which includes: dedicated check in counters inside the Departure Lounge, fast-track immigration clearance, fast-track customs clearance, and porter services.

Some facilities and services are common across both the Arrivals and Departure terminals. These include:
E-Gate: Passengers residing in Qatar can choose to expedite their immigration process by availing of an E-Gate card. E-Gate cards are only available to those with valid Qatar residence permits. These can be acquired at the Ministry of Interior's immigration offices.
Special Assistance: Airport employees are available to help and accompany passengers who require special assistance throughout their journey at Doha Hamad International Airport. Passengers can fill out a special assistance form while making flight reservations with an airline. A special assistance lounge is located next to boarding gate 1 on the ground floor.

Qatar Airways is the national airline of the State of Qatar which began operations in 1994. Since it was re-launched in 1997, it has grown into one of the aviation industry’s biggest success stories.
